Bubble Wrapped Driving

Pretty soon, we'll all be using booster seats in our cars. Even us grown ups.

Come on.... cable barriers on I-43? Doyle, who requested THAT contract?

Does he really think that cable barriers will be any less painful in a collision? It sounds like a terrible way to die.

Actually they're a pretty proven way to prevent a car from crossing the highway which is where the fatalities come. The car gets hit by oncoming traffic after it hits the median.

The cable barrier redirects the force (it does give a lot) and then the car slides along the barrier. Most importantly, it prevents that car from hitting oncoming traffic.
