Take a Wild Screaming Guess

Barack Obama's team was initially working somewhat in tandem with the "owner" of the Myspace page that they most recently took over.

Here's what I'd like to say about this.

Initially the page was run by Joe Anthony, then the Obama team wanted to work with him. So the arrangement was made, even allowing the team access to his passwords. Now, as we all know, it's been taken over because it's .....well apparently it's justified now as for the common good.

Now HOW does this sound familiar? Take a wild, screaming guess.

Why was this progression predictable?

Can you say...show me the money?

At least according the the FoxNews article I've got linked on my post about it....the guy wanted $39,000 and an additional $10,000 on top of that for services rendered.....

Of course, that's "speculation" :)

Well, this is not the whole story. The Obama team offered to hire him full time to keep doing it, and he refused, only later to lock them out of the site against the agreement he'd signed. MySpace's terms and conditions specifies that public figures get their names, and, with the campaign no longer able to control what was posted on their "official" page, took action in accordance with MySpace's policies.

Can you imagine any campaign--R, D, I--that would allow their "official" page to be done without any access to the content?
