My video card is on the fritz. My new laptop delivery is still a couple of weeks out. So I'll have postings as my computer allows!

what's the problem with the video card?
the pixels shake back and forth, and then it locks up nv4_disp error. Above all though, I think the display is probably done.
if you'd like, I'd be more than happy to take a look at it for you. Could be something simple and would ease the pain of waiting for the new laptop...
