An Unnecessary Position
Unnecessary position... being in the position of having to make a "deal" with We Energies. Feels an awful lot like a shakedown. They can charge whatever they want, and of course, claim it's 10% less than most markets. Whose market, I mean, really?
My usage is the same, my bill is extraordinary. I don't like it. Good thing there are no other mouths to feed in the house.

Our usage is down as we have tried mightily to conserve.
Our bill is up over 30%.
At the risk of being the bad guy, have you looked at the price of gasoline? 30% increase is cheap in comparison. Take a look at EIA.gov, then put 2 and 2 together. It's pretty clear that our governments' wrong-headed energy policy is to blame. Higher demand, same supply.....higher prices. Until the government decides that energy is more important than votes, or we recognize that the government and the environmental special interests are to blame, this will continue.
The worst thing about all of, to me, is that they actually spend money on advertising. What the hell do they need to advertise for - they've got us by the balls to begin with.
I actually wrote about it back in 2004 after they started running the "10% lower" commercials. Yeah... we get it... it would be 15% lower if you'd quit spending money advertising to people that already need to use your effing services WITHOUT A CHOICE! SHIT!
hear hear!!!
They oughta be incinerating asian carp! All that jumping energy must be harnessed!
(and uhm... it's green... i.e. using our food for energy...)
