Seven Years Ago

Something that is very striking about 9/11 in our modern culture is that when you talk about it with someone, they will give you a very accurate accounting of how they experienced it. Of course I wasn't alive when Kennedy was shot, but I'm not sure that the country ever healed after that happened. Unfortunately in both cases, I can't say that our country became a better place in the face of adversity.

And I don't like that.
